99-Years Leasehold

A property with a 99-Year leasehold tenure means that the property is built on a land that is leased from the land owner for a period of 99 years.

Home owners who purchases a residential or commercial property will own it only for a period of 99 years, after which the ownership is given back to the landowner; in the case Singapore, most land are owned by the Singapore Government.
